In order to embed a Vimeo Live player on your website, you’ll first need to create your live event on Vimeo and then access the Live Settings Page. To find the Event embed code and Chat embed code, select the Embed tab if you are streaming a one-time event, or the Event tab if you are streaming a recurring event.
If you’d like to embed your stream on another website, simply copy the live player embed code and paste it into the HTML of your webpage. Many sites have specific ways to do this, and depending on your specific web-host, the location may vary.
For recurring events, you can find all customization options for your live player under the Appearance tab as shown below:
VIMEO events-new event
event/*appearance*/destinations:
pre-live
-show recurring schedule
-show event schedule [new]
-show latest video
playlist
-show playlist
-autoplay next video
-loop playlist
video controls
-pay bar
-volume control
-fullscreen button
customization
For one time events, you can find these options in the Embed tab.
Embedded live events can not be customized to the same extent that embedded uploaded videos can. However once a live event ends and is archived, you can then edit the iframe to include default quality, autoplay, and various other customization options.
Yes right! The embed will be live on your site at the same time. It’ll also save the archive of the event once the event has ended.
