LD: Been pretty well thanks, the ol’ arthritis but you know all about that cause you too have it.. G: i have a little trouble with my teeth LD: oh that’s no fun, I’m gonna tape a little segment for a CBS news program called “Eye on America”, about the Hmong, my feelings that they have been shafted & not given a fair break. LD: rightly so, he’s trying to take care of his people, just as he would out there in a military way, well, he can’t do that, but he’s trying to draw attention.. they voted that medal for them back in Reagan’s day & they didn’t get around to issuing some of them. A lot of these old boys that were fighting on our side just can’t learn english, & i think that people shown connected to miliatry out there should be given a break just as we did for Philippine scouts & Mexicans enlisted in american army in World War 2. We skipped that for illegal latinos that came across the border, we can do that for the [Hmong], there’s not that many of them. G: yea, good luck. LD: It’ll be a brief time.
